Three-dimensional atomic configurations in a ZnFe2O4 single crystal by X-ray fluorescence holography

The Zn and Fe atoms in ZnFe2O4 single crystal are found to be located at the fourfold A sites and sixfold B sites, respectively, at room temperature. It is also found that the atomic configurations around the Fe atoms are highly distorted.

Longitudinal acoustic phonon modes of liquid acetone are obtained by inelastic x-ray scattering, and analyzed by a generalized Langevin equation with a simple sparse modeling. The obtained fast and slow viscoelastic relaxation rates are found for the first time to correspond to vibration mode in the molecule and rotational mode of the molecule, respectively.
